Ruarri Joseph is a local singer/songwriter talent for Newquay, having moved to the town in recent years. Born on 3 January 1982, he was signed by Atlantic Records in 2007, with whom he recorded his first album Tales of Grime and Grit in mid-2007. Now an independent singer-songwriter, Ruarri Joseph has his own label, Pip Productions.
In 2004 Ruarri appeared at Glastonbury, with the Rhythm Doctors, appearing again in Glastonbury in 2007.
In 2008 Ruarri Joseph released his first independent album, Tales of Grime and Grit in mid-2007; in 2009 he released his next album, Both Sides of the Coin, following this up in 2010 with Shoulder on the Wheel, which was released in 2010.
In June 2013 Ruarri Joseph played his acoustic performance of “Anyway” live from backstage Glastonbury for the BBC 2, who transmitted it live.
On 2 July Ruarri Joseph did a live radio interview on Radio Cornwall with David White from 10-12.
In July 2012 Ruarri released his fourth album, Brother. He’s also released a couple of singles.
