Tolcarne beach restaurant came under new ownership and relaunched as Breaks in 2013. Breaks is the new restaurant, still on Tolcarne beach, in the same great location. With a full design makeover and new menu there’s still no skimping on quality.
Serving fresh, local produce, cooked to perfection, as well as providing a licensed bar with a wide variety of wines, including Cornish wine – and day-long snacks, Breaks is already proving to be popular with visitors and locals alike.
This new Tolcarne Beach restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with seating available inside, which has been fully remodelled, or outside on the large sea-facing terrace, where you can sink back in comfy loungers (gone are those old pub benches of yesteryear!).
If you’re looking for a hidden gem, a get away from it all surf-side restaurant with sea views, then Breaks is to be recommended. If it’s a celebration, then let them know when you book and they’ll pull the stops out. If it’s a drop-by meal you’re after, then booking isn’t always required.
BBQ food, buffets and party packages also available. Or why not just head down to the beach, grab some snacks and watch the sunset and surfers catching the last of the evening waves.
Cuisines: Barbecue, Seafood, Steakhouse, British, Fish & Chips

UPDATE October 2016: In mid October 2016 Breaks, Tolcarne, closed down as the area is being cleared so a new multi-million pound hotel can be built on the site. The owners of Breaks opened up a new business, called Catch, based at Mawgan Porth, Cornwall.
