Fistral Beach Surf Centre has had a live surfcam mounted on its roof since soon after the building opened in 2003.
Pointing directly at the edge of the surf and across the beach you can get some great views - it's even possible to make out the waves at night when the tide's in.
Sometimes the cam can be a bit of an annoyance though as it does rely on plugins in your browser which might not be present - and, more recently, it's now time limited and, to be honest, I don't really understand it and/or it never loads for me any more, so I give up. You might have better luck with it!
When the weather's bad, especially in winter, this surfcam takes a bit of a battering and you might find it's smeared with surf spray, or waggling in the wind a little.... which all adds to its charm.

The Harbour Hotel is perched on the cliffside overlooking Newquay Bay and has a webcam on the balcony. From here you can see the Harbour, the boats entering and leaving the harbour entrance and the sweep of the bay as far as Porth.
This is a good webcam for watching Newquay sunrises and early morning harbour activity, as well as watching any RNLI launches, gig practice or racing or just to see how far in or out the tide is.
Due to the direction of the webcam and the location of the Harbour Hotel on the east-facing cliff, it does tend to get quite dark in early evening. You'd never see a sunset from this webcam.

The webcam at Watergate Bay is at the Watergate Hotel complex and looks directly out to sea. If there are any events on the beach they are in the view, so it's a good gauge of what's going on and if it's popular/busy.

It's a good wide screen, although when I last looked it wasn't doing anything, so I'm not sure if the cam's at fault, or my PC.

At the south end of Fistral Beach, there's a surfcam on the Watersedge apartments. This webcam shows a view across Fistral Beach, looking towards the Headland Hotel.

Generally the view isn't good from this webcam, images can be blurry, the lens can be dirty and it's often turned off.
