The Newquay Events Diary below is an eclectic mix of events in Newquay that might appeal to you whether you’re a resident or a holidaymaker, or visiting your second home. 
As with all things, it’s biased – biased towards events I know are occurring, events I see posted round town – and events that are well-known. But then I need to remember to add them once I’ve found them. If I see a poster strapped to a lamp-post there’s a chance I will remember, but I don’t always 🙂
If I think an event is exceedingly dull, or I just take a personal dislike to it, it won’t be included 🙂
We’re not biased here, but sometimes things have to be dropped. The aim is to have a bit of a mix though, across all dates… but this isn’t always possible.
Run to the Sun, RTTS (£), Newquay
Since this car-based festival started in 1987, Run to the Sun has grown larger and larger each year. Run to the Sun has now grown into one of the largest Custom Car, VW and dance festivals in Europe.
Held at Trevelgue Holiday Park, just 2 miles outside of Newquay, you can book a caravan, or camping pitch. Buses are laid on to/from Trevelgue and into Newquay until 3am.
RTTS Show & Shine (£), Newquay
RTTS Show & Shine is an annual event, on the Sunday of the Run to the Sun Festival.
There’s a new venue for 2011, the Show N Shine is not at Tregunnel Car Park, it’s in the Circus Field, by Morrisons and close to Hendra Holiday Park this year.
There’s lots of signage round the town for those looking for it.
Parking is free – but there’s an entry charge of £2 for adults, £1 for children.
Those with a RTTS Pass can enter their cars into the line up for £5, others with a car to show off can enter for £10.
Reef Night Surf Newquay 2011 (£), Newquay
Reef Night Surf Newquay 2011 starts at 6pm. This is a ticketed event.
