The Newquay Events Diary below is an eclectic mix of events in Newquay that might appeal to you whether you’re a resident or a holidaymaker, or visiting your second home. 
As with all things, it’s biased – biased towards events I know are occurring, events I see posted round town – and events that are well-known. But then I need to remember to add them once I’ve found them. If I see a poster strapped to a lamp-post there’s a chance I will remember, but I don’t always 🙂
If I think an event is exceedingly dull, or I just take a personal dislike to it, it won’t be included 🙂
We’re not biased here, but sometimes things have to be dropped. The aim is to have a bit of a mix though, across all dates… but this isn’t always possible.
Boardmasters 2016, Newquay, Cornwall, Newquay
Boardmasters 2016 Festival returns to Watergate Bay and Fistral Beach Newquay spanning five days from Wednesday 10 August to Sunday 14 August 2016.
This is a combined music, surf, skate and BMX event, with camping tickets available and easy transport between the two venues, which are 5 miles apart on foot.
Paulo's Circus 2016, Newquay
This year Paulo’s Circus are celebrating 200 years of being in business and the Circus is in Newquay from Wednesday 27 July 2016 to Saturday 20 August 2016. Â 
All seats £7/person.  Discounts and vouchers can be found in local newspapers, in some local shops (Morrisons have some) and on their Facebook page.

Every morning of the Boardmasters Festival 2016 there’ll be free yoga sessions at Fistral Beach, Newquay

Handmade Market: On Thursdays, during July and August, there’s a handmade market at Mawgan Porth Village Hall, TR8 4BL. 
Doors open 10am. Doors close 5pm.

Newquay Car Boot Sales Thursdays 2016, Newquay
Newquay car boot sales are held on Thursdays near to Morrisons supermarket – just look for the signs! Â These car boots are seasonal, running in the summer months only, weather depending.
2016: There were problems with the quality of the field, so the car boot sales were waiting to start, but they were restarted in June 2016
Newquay Memory Cafe, 2nd Thursday of the Month, 2016, St Columb Minor
The Newquay Memory Cafe at St Columb Minor Church Hall is open every 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 2-4pm.

Free Beach Volleyball & Rounders on Thursdays Summer 2016, Newquay
Every Thursday night during the summer holidays there’s free beach volleyball and free rounders on Fistral Beach, Newquay.
Run by Cornwall Sports Partnership.

Boardmasters 2016, Beach Sessions at Fistral Beach, Newquay
Beach Sessions are intimate evening gigs in the Beach Bar at Fistral Beach, these are run during the annual Boardmasters Festival and in 2016 there will be Beach Sessions at Fistral Beach on Wednesday 10 August and Thursday 11 August.
