The Newquay Events Diary below is an eclectic mix of events in Newquay that might appeal to you whether you’re a resident or a holidaymaker, or visiting your second home. 
As with all things, it’s biased – biased towards events I know are occurring, events I see posted round town – and events that are well-known. But then I need to remember to add them once I’ve found them. If I see a poster strapped to a lamp-post there’s a chance I will remember, but I don’t always 🙂
If I think an event is exceedingly dull, or I just take a personal dislike to it, it won’t be included 🙂
We’re not biased here, but sometimes things have to be dropped. The aim is to have a bit of a mix though, across all dates… but this isn’t always possible.
Paulo's Circus 2016, Newquay
This year Paulo’s Circus are celebrating 200 years of being in business and the Circus is in Newquay from Wednesday 27 July 2016 to Saturday 20 August 2016. Â 
All seats £7/person.  Discounts and vouchers can be found in local newspapers, in some local shops (Morrisons have some) and on their Facebook page.
On-site parking. Performances daily. Â Comfortable seating and heating

UK Flowboarding Championships 2016, St Columb Major
This is a Free to Watch event. The event attracts Europe’s most talented Flowboarders (indoor surfing on a big wave machine at speeds up to 30mph). Riders are scored on style, variety of tricks, difficulty of manoeuvres and use of the whole wave. Visitors are able to enter the Amateur category if you wish – contact the resort before the day.
Also: BBQ, cocktail promotions, DJ’s, children’s entertainment and prize giveaways from some of the world’s best known surf brands.
Kingsley Village Antiques Fair August 2016, Fraddon
Kingsley Village Antiques Fair is a 2-day indoor Antiques Fair with over 100 sellers. Saturday 20 August 2016 and Sunday 21 August.
Come and wet felt a bag in the most colourful and tactile workshop you can undertake, with a marvellous and patient tutor, Angela. All types of wool (inc Mariano wool) and colours will be on offer. Set in a marquee within a landscaped valley camp site to the sound of birds you can wet felt a bag to use and enjoy. Laughter is Free of Charge.
Cost: £25. Lunch additional £5. Camping available.

Mitchell Car Boot Sales, Saturdays, 2016,
Mitchell Car Boot Sales are held at Trethvas Farm on Saturdays from 12 noon. 
These car boot sales are organised by Cornwall Car Boots and not by the farm, who only provide the location.
Newquay Gig Racing, August 2016, Newquay
Three days of gig rowing Club Events at Newquay Rowing Club.
- Friday 19 August 2016: Men’s Racing, from 5.30pm onwards:
- Saturday 20 August 2016: Juniors Paddle, from 5.30pm onwards
- Sunday 21 August 2016: Veterans’ Racing, for the St George’s Cup, from 7pm onwards + Entertainment in the Rowing Club.
Free to watch event you can see from Newquay Harbour or Killacourt.
