The Newquay Events Diary below is an eclectic mix of events in Newquay that might appeal to you whether you’re a resident or a holidaymaker, or visiting your second home. 
As with all things, it’s biased – biased towards events I know are occurring, events I see posted round town – and events that are well-known. But then I need to remember to add them once I’ve found them. If I see a poster strapped to a lamp-post there’s a chance I will remember, but I don’t always 🙂
If I think an event is exceedingly dull, or I just take a personal dislike to it, it won’t be included 🙂
We’re not biased here, but sometimes things have to be dropped. The aim is to have a bit of a mix though, across all dates… but this isn’t always possible.
Boardmasters 2016, Newquay, Cornwall, Newquay
Boardmasters 2016 Festival returns to Watergate Bay and Fistral Beach Newquay spanning five days from Wednesday 10 August to Sunday 14 August 2016.
This is a combined music, surf, skate and BMX event, with camping tickets available and easy transport between the two venues, which are 5 miles apart on foot.
Paulo's Circus 2016, Newquay
This year Paulo’s Circus are celebrating 200 years of being in business and the Circus is in Newquay from Wednesday 27 July 2016 to Saturday 20 August 2016. Â 
All seats £7/person.  Discounts and vouchers can be found in local newspapers, in some local shops (Morrisons have some) and on their Facebook page.
On-site parking. Performances daily. Â Comfortable seating and heating

Free Yoga, Fistral Beach Bar, Boardmasters, Newquay
Every morning of the Boardmasters Festival 2016 there’ll be free yoga sessions at Fistral Beach, Newquay

Newquay RNLI Open Day 2016, Newquay
The annual Newquay RNLI Open Day will be held on Sunday 14 August 2016.
Lots of exciting air/sea rescue demonstrations as well as the usual quayside entertainments, fun, festivities, food and ales. Â Boats, helicopters and more! There’ll also be a parachute jump onto Towan Beach by the Royal Artillery Parachute Team.
The Lifeboat Day at Newquay is the year’s biggest fundraising event, so bring yourself and your wallet!

Beach Fun Day & Hog Roast, 2016, Newquay
A Beach Fun Day, with entertainment, a sandcastle competition, fun and a massive hog roast is being held on Towan Beach (for visitors, that’s the one with the big island on it).
Date: Sunday 14 August 2016
Time: Starts at ~11am, ends after 4pm
In aid of the Help Izzy Walk charity.
