The Bowgie Inn have a weekend-long Ale Festival at Crantock, there’s Beach Tag Rugby on Lusty Glaze Beach, Newquay. Every pub and club will have special events, from folk evenings to DJs. Kingsley Village have a craft fair on too. Newquay Cinema has a full range of films on, mornings, afternoons and some evening screenings.
Newquay Fun Fair will be in town the whole week too, having set up earlier in the week Newquay Fun Fair will be in town until 3 September.
Or simply chill out on your nearest beach and dip into a special beach picnic of local Cornish produce and a nice bottle of Cornish wine.
Whatever you end up doing, don’t forget to cream up and stick on a hat to protect yourself from the sun!

Following the excitement of the 2016 Olypics, IAmTeamGB is a nationwide “try sports for free” day, funded by the National Lottery and ITV Television, as well as TeamGB, JoinInUK, and UKSport. Organise something from your business, or join something that’s been put on!
The concept is that local clubs and organisations put on some free sports for you to try out.

Fistral Beach Clean Up (Monthly) 2016, Newquay
Every month, every year, an enthusiastic group of volunteers meet up for two hours and give Fistral Beach a good clean up, removing anything that’s considered rubbish from the beaches on the last Saturday of the month.
Working with Cornwall County Council and other interested organisations the Fistral beach clean up has been running successfully for several years and there’s always an enthusiastic turn out.

Mitchell Car Boot Sales are held at Trethvas Farm on Saturdays from 12 noon.
These car boot sales are organised by Cornwall Car Boots and not by the farm, who only provide the location.

The last free live music session of the summer. Mike Fox live on The Beach and the Pro Wakeboarders will be putting on a waveboarding show on the lake with their tricks!

Cornwall Craft Fairs are holding a craft fair on August Bank Holiday Sunday at Kingsley Village, Fraddon in the downstairs Exhibition Hall.
Up to 50 stalls selling local crafts and local Cornish produce.

Free Beach Waste Art Session, Bank Holiday Monday, Newquay
Hosted by Rick Stein on Fistral Beach is a FREE and creative activity: Creating art on the beach using scavenged treasures washed up from the ocean. Get the entire family involved collecting shells, driftwood and beach waste to turn them into something beautiful!
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. All participation is at your own risk, please bring suitable clothing for each activity. Parking fees apply throughout the day.
