The Newquay Surf Triathlon, organised by Cornwall Council, is at Barrowfields, Newquay. Free to watch, this is a standard distance open water triathlon with a sea swim. It is race 8 in the Cornwall Triathlon Series.
There is one transition area in this race: Barrowfields.
The event is free to watch at any point along the route. To take part, register with Carrick Leisure through their website
Swim: 1.5km (in the sea). Takes place in the surf at Tolcarne Beach.
Bike: 35km. Starting from the beach out to Goonhavern and then looping in around Perranporth and returning through Goonhavern and back in to Newquay on the same road.
Run: 10km. A loop of Newquay finishing at the Barrowfields.
