Sandcastle Competition, 2013, organised by Newquay Lions. Free event.
Every summer the Lions organise several sandcastle competitions on Newquay’s Towan Beach. These are well populated and enjoyed.
Towan Beach, Newquay at 12pm. Towan Beach is the one with the Island on it Access the beach via the Harbour steps, by road from the town, by the two staircases from Killacourt, or walk across the beaches (check the tides first) from Great Western or Tolcarne.
Build a castle, or enjoy the atmosphere down on the beach by bringing a beach towel and picnic. lunch.
Prizes for the best sandcastles or sculptures. Open to adults and children.
