The Newquay Events Diary below is an eclectic mix of events in Newquay that might appeal to you whether you’re a resident or a holidaymaker, or visiting your second home. 
As with all things, it’s biased – biased towards events I know are occurring, events I see posted round town – and events that are well-known. But then I need to remember to add them once I’ve found them. If I see a poster strapped to a lamp-post there’s a chance I will remember, but I don’t always 🙂
If I think an event is exceedingly dull, or I just take a personal dislike to it, it won’t be included 🙂
We’re not biased here, but sometimes things have to be dropped. The aim is to have a bit of a mix though, across all dates… but this isn’t always possible.
Newquay Carnival Week, 2013 (Sunday), Newquay
Sunday 7th: Carnival Service St Michael’s Church, Newquay, 11am. Last man standing, Porth Beach, 3pm. Brain of Newquay Quiz, Newquay Golf Club, 7.30 for 8pm. Afternoon Beach day at Porth, Porth Residents’ Association. Organ recital, David Briggs,

Surf Challenge for Autism The Wave Project, July 2013, Newquay
A surf event for autistic children will be held at Fistral Beach on Saturday 6 July and Sunday 7 July 2013. Free to watch, entry fee to take part: Andy Jordan, of Made in Chelsea, is one of the volunteers.
Charity Gig Race, Cornwall Children's Hospice SW, 2013, Newquay
Newquay Harbour plays host to this Charity Gig Race in support of Children’s Hospice SW.
To take part, you need four novice gig rowers: 3 rowing, one cox; the rest of the boat is filled with Newquay Rowing Club members.
Killacourt, Newquay, Live Music 2013, Newquay
On Killacourt, each Sunday from 2pm between 16 June 2013 and 18 August 2013 there will be a Live music act playing on the Killacourt, Newquay. This is a FREE Event. All welcome.
