Long Business Description The Air Force Museum at Newquay opened in 2013 and is open from the beginning of May to the beginning of November each year - check their website to see if they're open today/now. The Air Force Museum had 100,000 visitors in its first year of opening, making it an instant hit.
UPDATE: on 25 March 2015 this Air Force Museum announced they will not be opening in 2015.
The Museum is on the site of Newquay airfield, on the A3059 between Newquay and St Columb Major. Look out for the brown ‘Classic Air Force’ signs.
The Café de Havilland serves great food, that's mainly local produce. Pleasure flights can be booked if you want to go up in a plane, there are two trips - one of 15 minutes, round the Bay, or a 45 minute flight that flies over Cornwall, past the Eden Project, and back.
Entry prices: Single, adult, entry is £5. A family ticket is £12.50. Children under 6 are free, 6-15 £3. Seniors £4. Carers with disabled visitors are free entry.

Long Business Description Newquay Rowing Club was first set up in 1921 and has a modern Clubhouse at Newquay Harbour. They own what is believed to be the oldest Pilot Gig traditional rowing boat that is still in regular use, called "The Newquay", the wooden gig was built in 1812.
Newquay Rowing Club has an active social scene and fixtures diary, being the hosts of the annual County Gig Championships since they came up with the idea in 1969.
There are races every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during the rowing season held in Newquay Bay all starting at 7pm around a triangular course, starting and ending at the Harbour.
The Club runs weekly sessions for new and novice rowers, usually on a Monday night between mid-May until September. You are invited to come down and try the sport (weather permitting). These sessions are run by experienced coxswains and rowers helping you to learn the basics and progress your rowing ability at your own pace.
All equipment is provided, just wear suitable training clothes (shorts, T-shirt, vest, tracksuit bottoms etc) and footwear you don't mind getting wet (old trainers, sandals etc). There is a charge of just £3 per session, which goes towards the upkeep of the gigs and equipment.
